Those working in community and public health educate, motivate and empower their clients. Working under licensed health care professionals, they serve as a liaison between clients and the health care system, connecting community members with services and providing support for those navigating the health care landscape.
Coursework in this program will help you acquire a broad base of knowledge that spans health care, 社区卫生, 健康保险, 人类服务, health literacy and chronic diseases.
This degree program is for those interested in the field of 社区卫生 who may have little or no background in the field or who wish to continue their education toward a bachelor's degree. 该学院还提供一种 社区及公共卫生 certificate program for students who have some background in a health care field and have completed coursework in a related area. The degree and certificate programs are the only ones of their kind in New York State.
